CnX Player allows you to change the video Brightness , Contrast and Saturation.

  • Open Screen option from the settings on full screen video playback screen.
  • Adjust Brightness, Contrast, Saturation as it suits to the eyes and experience best visuals. Please note, that Contrast & Brightness can be adjusted only when the video is being played using the software decoder.

If you wish to switch the video decoder for the video being played , follow the simple steps below:

Multiple delete

Follow the below steps to delete multiple videos through the application :

  • Long tap on the video in gallery you wish to delete. [Note: currently playing video will not be allowed for selection]
  • Player will now come in edit mode, which means you can now select multiple videos you wish to delete.

  • You will be asked for delete confirmation, select "Yes" if you wish to delete them , else select "No".

Hide/Show videos

To hide or show the videos, you need to hide or show the folder that contains the video. If you wish to hide selective videos, then use create a new folder and put those videos in this folder and then hide or show it. Follow the following steps::

  • Click on More option button which appears on the bottom right corner of the video history screen.
  • A popup will appear which will have Show/Hide Videos option at the bottom. Tap on this.
  • List of folders that have videos in them will appear here.
  • By default all the videos are shown, so none is hidden.
  • Tap on the folder which you wish to hide. Hidden folder will highlighted in red.
  • All the videos in the hidden folder will NOT BE SHOWN in the video collection.
  • To unhide or show the video, simply tap on the hidden folder and it will now show up in the video collection.

To check the video codec information of a video, follow the following steps:

  • 1. Click on "Settings" button on full screen video playback.
  • 2. Select "Properties" menu from there.
  • 3. Under the Video section there is codec information available.

CnX Player has highly optimized implementation of next generation hardware and software video codecs. Video codecs are highly responsible for giving the best visual experience. Not able to delete some videos

  • Open Navigation bar from the toggle button at top left corner on the main screen.
  • Go to Settings option.
  • Click on Add writable storage location.
  • Click on Add button.
  • There will be a list of folders in SD card.
  • Select the entire SD card by tapping on "Select SD card" option if you want to give write access to all the videos.
  • If you wish to give selective folder the write access, then choose that folder only.
  • All the videos in the selected folder will now have delete/rename access.

Note: You can again remove the write access given to the folders by tapping on Clear button at the bottom.

Not able to play 10-bit video

  • Click on Upgrade features in the navigation menu.
  • Select Professional Video codecs category and click on Purchase.
  • Fill in the required details. Once the transaction is successful, Professional Video codecs feature will be enable for your id for lifetime.
If is was purchased earlier but it is still not playing , then follow the steps below:
10 Bit video codecs restore
  • Make sure you are using the same Gmail account using which you had earlier made the purchase. The id linked to this account is kept in google database and CnX Player will get the information from there only. If the account is not same and is a new one, then user will have to make a new purchase.
  • Go to Upgrade features and click on Restore button. You will now see all the features you had purchased earlier as Purchased.

This scenario sometimes happen when there is an upgrade of the apps. So restoring does solve everything in seconds !
